MNET SIXTEEN

The last time JYPE officially did a survival show was 2PM Hot Blood back in 2010. Now in 2015 JYP will be having another survival show in partnership with Mnet. The cable program will be called 'Mnet Sixteen' and will officially air on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 @11:00pm. There will be 16 candidates (Jihyo, Nayeon, Jungyeon, Mina, Momo, Chaeryoung, Chaeyeon, Tzuyu, Sana, Somi, Natty, Chaeyoung, Eunsuh, Jiwon, Dahyun, and Minyoung). As of Now, it is known that only 7 out of the 16 trainees will be picked to form JYP's new girl group 'TWICE'.

Mnet Sixteen has officially ended on Tuesday, July, 7th, 2015 @11:00pm.
JYP ended up picking 7 members to represent Twice, but then stated "In order to further complete the group I will be adding 2 more members". The two members who were added were Tzuyu & Momo. Tzuyu was added as an additional member because she ranked #1 on the MILK App voting. On the other hand Momo was pulled out from the elimination team which made her the last 9th member of TWICE. The whole audience and even Momo herself were in shock at the unexpected result of an eliminated member making the final team. It turns out the reason behind this decision was because JYP's A&R Team and all of JYPE staff including JYP himself felt she not only deserved it for her hard working ethics, but also because they felt she is a necessity to the team.
Thus! The final members of Twice are; Nayeon, Jihyo, Jungyeon, Dahyun, Sana, Mina, Momo, Tzuyu, Chaeyoung. Congratulations!!! 
For the fans who are heartbroken over their biases not making the team, don't get your hopes down! JYP will be preparing them for their debut 2 years later (2017). Until then let's support all Sixteen members and hope for the best for all!
